Oriental dance
A Seminar at the Präha Institut für Gesundheitsförderung
Oriental Dance, which has religious and ritual origins, has a tradition which is thousands of years old, and today it is very popular also in the western world.
Oriental Dance is dance coming from the centre of the body, which is its centre of energy. It provides a harmonious body feeling, stimulates life energies and is a means to express joy of life and creativity.

1. Aims of the course
- Acquiring dance techniques
- Getting a better understanding and feeling for melodies and rhythm
- Enlarging the dance repertoire
(This comprises dances from different countries, as well as dancing with a veil, a sword, a stick, oriental musical instruments, candles, etc.)
- Improving dance expression
- Getting to enjoy spontaneous and free dance
